We've been selling the Humes & Berg Swing-It™ for years, with weekly rehearsals and gigs, and they still look as good as new. That's not marketing copy — that's just what happens when a product is genuinely well-made.

Why Performers Love This Stand
These 41" stands were originally designed for stand-up brass sections in jazz ensembles — and that heritage shows. At 41" from floor to top, they're the right height for standing musicians and speakers without any awkward adjustments. But more and more solo performers are using them too, because they're dramatically lighter than a metal folding stand and the wide desk hides everything: your setlist, your water bottle, your amp controls, your performance tools. Nobody in the audience needs to see any of that.
I've personally watched musicians load these with heavy 3-inch, 3-ring binders full of charts. They hold up without complaint.
One-Piece Construction — No Fussing Around
Why deal with separate tops and bottoms? The Swing-It folds completely flat in one piece, fits under your arm, and is ready to go in seconds. At just 4 pounds, it's one of the lightest stands you'll find at this size. It also has a built-in hole for routing a music light cord — a small detail that makes a real difference at a gig.
What Is Corrugated Plastic, Exactly?
Think of corrugated cardboard — same concept, but entirely plastic. It has a defined grain direction: easy to bend one way, very resistant the other. Humes & Berg's patented manufacturing process bends the grain in the opposite direction, which is what makes their one-piece folding design possible. The surface is smooth enough to paint or apply a vinyl sticker — perfect for adding your band's logo. The material is weatherproof, holds up to years of use, and is similar to what outdoor yard signs and political signs are made from.
Adding Your Band Logo
We no longer handle graphics in-house — honestly, your local sign maker will do it faster and cheaper than we ever could. Here's how most bands do it:
- Direct vinyl application: Have your sign maker print your logo on vinyl and apply it directly to the front of the stand.
- Removable substrate: Apply the vinyl to a separate substrate (like a yard sign blank), then attach it to the stand with velcro or double-sided tape. This way it stays with the stand and fits right in the case.
Just bring your logo file and the stand dimensions to any local graphics or sign shop, and they'll take it from there.
